Document scanning and working with PDF files is now a most essential part for students, business  and other professional to efficiently present their research and work. There are lots of document scanning app in play store but we choose Microsoft Office Lens and Adobe Scan.

Microsoft Office Lens

Office Lens is owned by Microsoft, it is a simple and easy to use tool which can efficiently scan and trim pictures while capturing and by selecting via gallery/storage. It works offline and can scan documents to convert into PDF or Images in batch. You can also take this converted file into OneNote or can save into OneDrive.

It is simple but only disadvantage of using this app is that after converting the documents in PDF you can not edit it again and thus in order to change you need to create a new one. This only disadvantage leads us to our next app that is Adobe Scan.

Other than this it works perfectly fine as a pocket scanner and comes handy in need.

Adobe Scan

Adobe Scan is owned by Adobe, it is much similar to Office lens but include more useful features. It uses integrated OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to recognize printed text and handwriting. Adobe Lens do have features like editing(trim, cut, rotate, sharpening, color effect)  final PDF output or document but it does not trim documents properly while scanning and you may need to adjust by yourself.
