Google services were down on 14 December 2020
Today Google and its all products and services were down due to a technical glitch between 5PM to 6PM Indian standard time. The whole globe was affected because Google servers were down on Monday for a long time today.
The affected applications were Gmail, YouTube (the world’s second-largest search engine), google docs, google analytics, google sites, etc. Almost all the services offered by the tech giant google were down. Google officially tweeted about this technical problem from their google cloud services account and work space account.
After almost more than 20 to 30 minutes google engineer fixes the problem and all the services were resumed. The fixation tweet was also released by google officials. For some time period #googledown was trending. You can read the full statement here.
It was noticed that all the products of google were affected google listed those products on their workspace page.
That hour crossed into business and companies' operation time in multiple markets, leading to a slight drop in pre-market trading for a parent company.

It shows clearly and alarming reminders of just how far reaches and how many of our services, productivity, entertainment, home, and utilities are tied up with a single proprietary provider. Coincidentally Microsoft outlook was facing the same problem also.
Not considerably more to refresh yet but rather we're seeing and connecting with others that different Google administrations have gone down. Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive, Google Docs, Maps, Adwords and Adsense, Google Pay, Google Home, Nest, and Google's Chromecast are for the most part encountering blackouts, with handfuls, even hundreds, of reports we've seen so far rolling in from across Europe, the US, Canada, India, South Africa, nations in Central and South America, Australia and likely more.
Downtime site indicators are showing big spikes for services dropping starting from around 11.30AM UK time. In India, it was around between 5PM to 6PM.
After the fixation by the engineers of Google, all the services are going on smoothly without any problem.
