Microsoft Surface Duo Update Brings App Improvements and Bugs Fixed

Microsoft Surface Duo just got the latest update that brings some bug fixes and app optimizations as well some major improvements spotted on Google play.

The Microsoft launcher update is now rolled out for the Android users and brings some major improvements such as opening the feed page in the landscape and concurrently with another app opened together as well keyword search in Office app.

Surface Duo is Microsoft's 1st dual-screen Android smartphone and it comes with a 360-degree hinge with two other separate OLED displays.

As per the Microsoft Launcher changelog on Google Play(1st spotted by XDA-Developers) the update comes with the firmware version 6.2.201102.92686 and now being rolled out for Surface Duo smartphones in the US and brings optimizations and bug fixes.

The update brings some major improvements on the opening feed page in the landscape and concurrently with another application on the Surface duo. It also gets an overview on a single screen and screen time support also available on the foldable device from Microsoft.

There are improvements in the app launch, app group creation flow via context menus as well as on spacing and icons consistency in the app drawer of the phone.

Users can search for keywords in the Office app on the Surface duo. This is a newly added feature that was missing before in the smartphone.

Apart from this, there were many bugs and they have been fixed now in the update. The bugs were in-app icon size, app drawer, folder swipe up gesture but now they all are fixed in this software update.

In recent months, Microsoft also announced that they will avail the Microsoft Surface Duo outside of the US also like in Indian and European markets as well in African markets also.

We may see the Microsoft Surface Duo in India very soon maybe Microsoft will launch it in 2021 in India.

The company said that the android phone by Microsoft which is Surface duo the foldable phone will be available in France, Germany, Canada, UK in early 2021.
