PlayStation 5 India Launch Set for February 2 - PS5 Pre Orders Start from January 12
- PlayStation 5 was originally scheduled to launch in India on November 19 2020 but the launch was delayed due to Covid 19 Pandemic
- Sony is planning to bring more PS5 units to the Asian markets after January 2021
The all-new Play Station 5 will be launched in India on February 2 2021 with pre-orders for the PS5 starting from January 12 at 12OM IST. Sony shared the development on their official Twitter handle with the Playstation India account and said that pre-orders will be open will stocks last.
The console originally launched in the selected regions in the Month of November 12 and the rest of the world(excluding India) on November 19, 2020. It was assumed to have a late 2020 launch in India but due to pandemics, the launch was postponed and the company also said that the launch was delayed due to stock shortage.
Now finally the console will be making its way to the Indian market. Further according to another news report 3.4 Million units of PS5 were sold in the first month of the Launch making it the highest selling PlayStation console ever in history.

Sony has announced on their Twitter handle that the PS5 will be launched in India on February 2. The pre-orders for the console will be started on January 12 at 12 PM and will go live on the Amazon India website, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Games the show, Shop at sony center, Vijay sales, and on selected authorized retail partners of Sony.
The company announced the Indian pricing prior to launch. The digital edition of the PS5 will cost you 39,990 INR and the standard edition with disk drive will cost you 49,990 INR.
