Oneplus pay launch

OnePlus Pay may launch in India soon as the seller shared screenshots of its trademarked app in India via Twitter. The mobile payment service was first announced in 2019 and launched in China a year later. Until now, OnePlus has not provided official information about the launch of the service in India. However, if the trademark application is indeed true, it is expected to be launched in India later this year. OnePlus Pay will join the list of numerous mobile payment services in the country, such as Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe, etc.

Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) posted a trademark application for OnePlus Pay on Twitter. The tweet shows the trademark applied for by OnePlus and has been accepted by the trademark registration agency. Mobile payment services can come with a mobile wallet and NFC-based payments to compete with payment services from Apple, Google, and Samsung. The OnePlus trademark shipped on March 30 and there is no further information at this time.

OnePlus Pay launched in March 2020 and is currently limited to China. Initially, the company tested the paid service for over half a year and then launched it on HydrogenOS (the dedicated China version of OxygenOS). To use the service, OnePlus users will need to set the app as their default NFC-based payment app and after entering their bank details the service will be activated and available for use.

Earlier this year, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9R in India alongside the OnePlus Watch. The smartphone company cooperated with Swedish camera brand Hasselblad to launch the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones with Snapdragon 888 SoC technology. The OnePlus 9R is powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC, and its four-channel rear camera is spearheaded by a 48-megapixel main sensor. OnePlus Watch has a 1.39-inch high-definition AMOLED screen and can receive voice calls and app notifications directly on SmartWatch. It can also function as a remote control for OnePlus TV.
